Meet the BeGOAT Media Marketing Manager, Jack Rosell

We are taking you behind the scenes of BeGOAT! Meet Jack Rosell, the latest and greatest addition to the BeGOAT team. Jack has been managing BeGOAT’s marketing media as a freelance photographer and videographer for the past 2 years, but he recently became their most recent full-time addition to the crew. At just 19 years old and already holding a manager title speaks highly of what Jack can accomplish!

Now grab your favorite BeGOAT flavor and kick your feet back while we introduce you to Jack.

How long have you lived in Central Oregon?

I was born in Bend, Oregon and haven’t made the move away from this quaint yet popular town. Bend is a small town located along the Deschutes River and is most known for its world-class recreation including Mt. Bachelor and Smith Rock State Park. There are bottomless hiking trails and mountain biking throughout the region. Sitting in the high desert, ideally located to the East of the Cascade Mountain range, Bend receives ample sunshine and comfortable summer temperatures while being spoiled with lightweight snow throughout the winter.

Of course, there is no way I will be leaving anytime soon!

Can you give us some CliffsNotes on your career path and how you ended up at BeGOAT?

I was on the road to being a professional athlete in the ski industry. After a career-ending injury, it made me rethink my career path. I wanted to be a pilot but then didn’t. I then wanted to pursue college but then didn’t. I ended up following my mom’s footsteps as a professional photographer and picked up a camera. The rest is history!

BeGOAT contacted me one day and asked if I would create content for them. For 2 years I juggled several freelance clients and traveled a ton to make a name for myself, all while pursuing a semester of film school in Montana.

I am so young in my career, that this experience is allowing me to grow into a position that I dream of!

Which aspect of working at BeGOAT do you enjoy the most?

The overall flexibility of being able to travel and film for BeGOAT is what I love most. My greatest passion is taking photos and making videos with a rad group of individuals supporting me and trusting me along the way. There is so much room for progression and I look forward to bringing everything I have to the table for BeGOAT.

How do you keep up with marketing trends?

Staying active on social media is the most important. I keep an eye on trends that are gaining traction and reactions, then twist and tweak things similar to produce new and exciting content for BeGOAT. Doing things out of the ordinary to create attraction and engagement, especially creating that “WOW!” moment is what I aim for.

Do you have any bragging rights or claim to fame from your career successes?

Well, I just wrapped up a content piece with Luke Winters at the Palisades Tahoe Cup and found myself in the pit of a Ludacris after-party concert! Other than that, I have had the pleasure of working alongside many National Geographic producers. I have also worked very closely with Super Frenchie. I am giving him big props for influencing my passion for filmmaking.

How does BeGOAT fuel your workday and what is your go-to flavor?

I can never consume too much energy! Conveniently, BeGOAT provides the perfect amount of caffeine to keep me going throughout the day. Grapefruit Tangerine is my all-time favorite flavor! You’ll have to give it a try if you haven’t already.

Additionally, there may be some new and upcoming flavors that haven’t hit the market quite yet. Those might be on the top 3 favorites list, so keep an eye out.

What are your hobbies or interests outside BeGOAT?

All things action sports! I love spending time outside, snowmobiling, and spending time with friends. I enjoy backpacking and hiking throughout the Three Sisters Wilderness, plus backcountry skiing the Central Oregon volcanoes. I will be attempting the Three Sisters Traverse this year which has been on my bucket list for a while now. Rock climbing at Smith Rock State Park is another one of my go-to activities. You cannot go wrong with all Central Oregon has to offer!

That’s a wrap on BeGOAT’s Media Marketing Manager, Jack Rosell! He is an outstanding photographer and videographer with a huge passion for the action sports industry. You won’t want to skip a beat with Jack, so keep an eye on all his content creation via Instagram.
